The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI) has concluded, after an international public procurement procedure, a contract with the KimTech–Gtech consortium for the procurement of modern computer equipment for schools in Montenegro.

According to the government department, the procurement includes computers, television displays, printers and other equipment, which will be installed in classrooms, offices, assembly rooms and libraries of school institutions.

"Which enables more efficient preparation and implementation of teaching, modernization of work methods, as well as better management of school obligations and processes," the statement added.

The value of the contract, as stated by the Ministry of National Infrastructure, is 2,39 million euros, of which 1,98 million euros represent non-refundable funds provided through a grant from the European Investment Bank (EIB).

"This grant represents confirmation of the Ministry's recognized commitment to modernizing the education system and direct, non-refundable support from the EIB for reforms that contribute to improving the quality of teaching. The remaining amount was provided through state participation," the MoE said in a statement.

They stated that this project, along with the procurement implemented during 2024 worth over seven million euros, significantly improved conditions in all educational institutions and enabled more equal access to digital resources in all educational institutions.

"The Ministry remains committed to creating a digitally equipped, modern and pedagogically advanced educational environment for all students and teachers," the statement concluded.
