The search for a hero has borne fruit: The man who saved the boy has been found

Through the NGO Niste sami, the family of a boy from Podgorica who almost drowned in Cijevna announced that they had found the man who saved him, and for whom they had been searching on social media yesterday to express their gratitude.

"The search has borne fruit: Heroes are among us! Comrades, I can proudly say that we have found the man who saved the child! Although there was a little confusion due to the large crowd and the presence of several people at the scene, the truth has come to light. The man who jumped into the water without hesitation is from Budva," is part of the message.

"His identity is now known to us, but out of respect for his personal wishes, he wishes to remain anonymous for now. However, I hope that we will convince him otherwise when we meet. Why? Because heroes should have every letter of their name written in CAPITAL LETTERS," the message added.

"This is not the first time this man has shown his true colors - he has previously saved a woman from the swollen Morača. This only confirms to us that heroes do not always wear a cape and are not some unattainable characters from movies. They are here, among us. It is time to start appreciating humanity, and to pay less attention to the meager characters who do not even deserve a mention. Montenegro continues to produce people for whom human life is sacred, and courage is the natural state. Hats off to the hero!", it was shared on social networks.

The day before, a family from Podgorica she asked social media users through the NGO Niste Alone for help in finding the man who saved the life of their 11-year-old son.

"Today, an unimaginable tragedy was averted on the banks of the Cijevna River. Thanks to the courage of an unknown man, a child's life was saved. An eleven-year-old boy, in a moment of carelessness, left the yard and entered the river. A man who happened to be nearby, without thinking, jumped into the cold water and pulled the drowning child out," reads the post shared on social media, asking anyone with information about the rescuer's identity to come forward so that the family can thank him.
