Caritas of the Diocese of Kotor in Perast today organized an ecological campaign called "Diving for Boka 2026".

Divers and numerous volunteers gathered this morning on the waterfront in Perast, from where they were deployed to several locations in order to clean up the underwater world.

The director of Caritas of the Diocese of Kotor, Don Željko Pasković, told Radio Kotor that large amounts of waste were recovered, but he also warned that according to current estimates, there is up to ten times more of it in the seabed of Perast, which is why such actions should be organized more often.

About 60 divers from the Podstrana Diving Club, the Mostar Diving Club, the Adriatica Club from Herceg Novi, as well as the Caritas diving team, participated in the action.

As Pasković stated, today's activity represents the first dive, while the continuation of the action is planned for tomorrow at the "The Chedi" hotel in Luštica Bay. On that occasion, the promotion of diving as a sport and hobby will be organized, with the opportunity for interested visitors to try diving with divers.

Among others, Tonći Janović, a member of parliament from the Europe Now Movement, also participated in the action.
