Kadić becomes director of the Health Insurance Fund, Ružić's mandate ends

The Board of Directors (BO) of the Health Insurance Fund (FZO) acted in accordance with the ruling of the Administrative Court at today's meeting, and Vuk Kadić will head the institution, "Vijesti" has learned.

"There were no sensational or dramatic, or illegal, decisions at the session, as announced in previous days. The Board, guided by the Administrative Court's ruling, concluded the termination of the mandate of the acting director, Mr. Aleksandar Ružić, and in accordance with the ruling, the continuation of the mandate of Mr. Vuk Kadić as director," said Board President Marko Tomašević to "Vijesti".

He said that the Administrative Court's ruling did not challenge the legality of Mr. Kadić's dismissal, but rather the procedure by which it was carried out.

"Accordingly, given that the Administrative Court ordered the Board of Directors by its judgment to adopt a new lawful Decision in the repeated procedure, taking into account their suggestions, the Board of Directors therefore adopted a Decision to initiate disciplinary proceedings against Mr. Vuk Kadić before the State Disciplinary Commission for serious breach of work obligations/exceeding official authority," Tomašević announced.
