National testing of student achievement at the end of the second cycle of primary school (sixth grade) began on Monday and will last until May 15th.

The Examination Center announced that this year the testing will be conducted in the English language subject, with a significant innovation:

"For the first time, students are being tested in an online format, using special software developed by the Examination Center. This is an important step forward towards a more modern and student-friendly approach to knowledge testing," the statement said.

The tests, the Examination Center specifies, are designed to be interactive and dynamic, with tasks that assess students' language skills in a modern way and follow the standards of modern education.

"The results of national testing play an important role in improving the quality of the education system, as they provide reliable data for further planning and adoption of educational policies, as well as for harmonization with international research and standards. The Examination Center, with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, continues to introduce innovations that contribute to a higher quality, more objective and more efficient evaluation of students' knowledge in Montenegro," the institution said.

In parallel, the Examination Center is also conducting an external matura exam. Graduates will take the exam in their first foreign language on May 13th, and in Mathematics thirteen days later. The subject of the student's choice, namely professional theory, will be organized on June 5th.
