To continue specialized treatments for Mara Dimić (10) from Podgorica, who has difficulty moving around, and her stay in Banja Luka, it is necessary to raise 4.428 euros, the "Be Human" Foundation announced today.
The statement states that Mara Dimić, due to her premature birth, only took her first steps at the age of six, and that although she faces difficulty walking and can only move independently over short distances, she exercises diligently every day and works diligently on her progress.
"She is a fourth-grade elementary school student, an excellent student, a friendly, gentle and hard-working girl who conquers everyone around her with her smile and cheerfulness. Mara has already been a beneficiary of the 'Be Human' Foundation, thanks to which she was able to receive specialized treatments in Banja Luka. Significant results have been achieved, and according to doctors, there has been a visible improvement in her walking distance, and Mara is now able to walk independently, which represents exceptional progress," the statement reads.
The "Be Human" Foundation said that in order to preserve and further improve the achieved results, continuity is necessary.
"The experts' recommendation is to continue robotic-assisted treatments, which include robotic gait training, arm and hand training, as well as further specialist examinations. To continue this program and stay in Banja Luka, it is necessary to raise 4.428 euros. Let's help Mara make her steps safer, more stable and more carefree, because every step she takes means a step closer to a more independent and happier childhood," the statement said.
