The construction of a modern administrative building intended for the operation of a utility and water supply company has begun in Žabljak, and the project is being implemented with the aim of improving the working conditions of employees and providing services to citizens more efficiently, the Ministry of Public Works announced.
As stated by the government department, the beginning of the works was marked by the relevant minister Majda Adžović together with the President of the Municipality of Žabljak Radoš Žugić.
"The implementation of this project aims to improve working conditions for employees, provide services to citizens more efficiently, and modernize municipal infrastructure," the statement said.
It is stated that the planned facility is designed as a functional and modern administrative and business unit that will integrate office, technical and supporting facilities necessary for the daily functioning of services responsible for utility services and water supply in the territory of the municipality of Žabljak.
The Ministry said that Adžović also held a meeting with Žugić, where they discussed current and planned infrastructure projects, as well as further possibilities for improving cooperation between the state and local levels with the aim of balanced development of that northern municipality.
"As part of the planned activities to improve the tourist offer of the Žabljak municipality, one of the segments relates to the adaptation of the existing road, about two kilometers long, leading to the Savin Kuk ski resort," the statement says.
The Ministry of Public Works said that improving road infrastructure in this way represents one of the important steps in the further development of the Savin Kuk ski resort, as a recognizable winter and mountain center in the Durmitor area.
