St. Mark's Day procession through the streets of Podgorica

The solemn St. Mark's Day procession with the relics of Saint Simeon of Dajbab is held through the streets of the capital.

The procession with clergy, monks and citizens traditionally started from the Church of Saint George under Gorica at 18 pm, after which the ceremonial procession goes to Skalina at the confluence of the Ribnica and Morača rivers, and ends in Durres.

In that Podgorica settlement, the procession arrives at the estate of the Đečević family, which has lived on the foundations of the temple of the Holy Apostle Mark for four centuries, and whose representative welcomes the people with the clergy.
