Two people from Kolašin, who allegedly tried to remove the banner "May Montenegro be eternal" placed this morning, have been reported to the police, Matija Bulatović, head of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) councilors' club and member of the Kolašin Commission for the Celebration of 20 Years of the Restoration of Independence, told Vijesti.

The banner was provided by a private donation, and this morning it was placed by a group of volunteers near the so-called "Blue Bridge".

Bulatović claims that he saw an attempt to remove the banner. After reporting it to the police, the banner was put back in place.

"It is truly incomprehensible that this is how a banner bearing the official motto of the celebration of 20 years since the restoration of Montenegro's independence is being treated. I would like to remind you that the Government of Montenegro has determined that this should be the official motto of the jubilee and I do not understand who and in what way this could incite vandalism," said Bulatović.

He did not name the citizens he suspects of attempting to forcibly remove the banner.
