The summer tourist season officially opened in Budva last night - the main city square was cramped to accommodate thousands of visitors who enjoyed performances by the world-famous DJ duo ARTBAT, as well as artists John K, Nexie and Space Motion.
"The ceremony showed that Budva has the capacity to host world-class events and is ready to welcome tourists from the region and beyond. The atmosphere was modern and dynamic, but at the same time open to all generations and tastes, which was confirmed by the great interest of guests from Europe and the region," the Budva Tourist Organization announced.
Director of the Budva Tourist Board, Milan Tičić, said that judging by how the season opening ceremony began, he expects this year's season to exceed all expectations.
"Budva has once again shown that it is a city of good fun, quality events and diverse content, a destination that attracts the attention of an international audience," said Tičić.
“The program began with a performance by local DJ John K, who opened the evening with his musical style. The audience was then moved by Nexie, while a real explosion of energy followed when ARTBAT took the stage.
Their performance, accompanied by light and smoke effects, confirmed Budva's reputation as a center of summer entertainment. Space Motion took care of the evening's finale.
The Budva Municipality Tourist Organization, as they say, is continuing with its rich program - today the city will be filled with color through the Small Carnival Procession.
