The Mayor of the Municipality of Tivat, Željko Komnenović, and the Secretary for Social Affairs, Olivera Mišković Vidojević, organized a reception today for representatives of non-governmental organizations that were approved for funds from the city treasury under the Public Competition for the Distribution of Funds for NGO Projects for 2026.
On that occasion, contracts were signed with organizations whose projects will be financed from the budget of the Municipality of Tivat.
The Mayor congratulated the representatives of the non-governmental sector on their well-prepared projects, emphasizing the importance of the partnership between the local government and the civil sector in improving the quality of life of the citizens of Tivat.
"Personally, I would like as many projects as possible to have a social component, to be directed at different target groups and to communicate with them. Your engagement is a contribution to the life of the city and has our support," said Komnenović.
Mišković Vidojević emphasized that the 12 projects that the municipality decided to support are "in line with its priority areas and local action plans", but also that she is certain "that they will improve the situation in the areas they target".
"Considering the process of Montenegro's accession to the European Union, the NGO sector will have significant financial resources at its disposal in the coming period, so I invite you to work on improving your capacities and actively monitor this process," stressed the manager of the Municipality of Tivat, Ivona Petrović.
The Commission for the Allocation of Funds to Non-Governmental Organizations adopted the Decision on the Allocation of Funds for NGO Projects for 2026, which provided 12 non-governmental organizations based in Tivat with budget support in the total amount of 84.000 euros.
The funds were awarded to the following organizations and projects: NGO "Center for Counseling and Personal Development" for the project "Mental Health - Let's Talk About It" - 9.329,60 euros; NGO "ŠkArt" for the project "Škart Resident V" - 7.652,80 euros; NGO "Ars praesentia Boka Kotorska" for the project "Nine Voices of Boka - Revitalization of the Boka Musical Tradition through Artistic Production and Education" - 16.080,00 euros; NGO "AKC Pravi put" for the project "From Local to Global Business Language Course for Women Entrepreneurs" - 7.086,40 euros; NGO "Association of Egyptians" for the project "RE Integration" - 10.984,00 euros; NGO "Avanturisticki klub K4" for the project "Adventure guide & instructor - informal training of young outdoor instructors" - 4.022,80 euros; NGO "Boka" for the project "Tivatski breviary VII" - 2.947,20 euros; NGO "Školica sporta Sunce" for the project "Your neighborhood, your team, our victory" - 3.852,00 euros; NGO "Djeca Tivata" for the project "Nevoj kvart, tvoj kepi, naša pojeda" - 5.622,24 euros; NGO "Evropski dom" for the project "Art and psychological workshops" - 2.896,00 euros; NGO "Montenegrin rugby league" for the project "Development of school touch rugby" - 6.024,00 euros and NGO "Klapa Jadran" for the project "Klapa heritage of Tivat - a bridge between generations" - 7.502,96 euros.
