The University of Montenegro (UCG) continues to improve its infrastructure through the project of adapting the atrium of the Rectorate building into a modern gallery space intended for the promotion of culture and art.

As stated in the UCG press release, this is a project that will transform two atriums into a representative and multifunctional environment, designed for the organization of exhibitions, art presentations, professional meetings, promotions and other cultural events.

"The new space will be adapted to the contemporary needs of the university community and open to various forms of artistic and public expression. The planned adaptation includes construction, interior and installation works, with the application of modern architectural and technical solutions," the statement said.

The project, as stated, envisages the construction of a gallery steel structure and staircase, glass walkways, as well as complete interior decoration using quality materials and carefully crafted design elements. Special emphasis has been placed on the functionality and technical equipment of the space, so the gallery will have professional lighting, air conditioning and ventilation systems, sound systems, video surveillance, as well as advanced multimedia and security systems.

"This will provide conditions for the realization of various cultural and artistic contents, in accordance with the standards of modern gallery spaces. The project is being implemented by an expert team from the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering of the University of Montenegro," the statement reads.

The estimated value of the investment is around 400 thousand euros and the deadline for the execution of the works is planned to be 60 days from the introduction of the contractor into the job.
