The Municipality of Kolašin has published the final ranking list of NGO projects that will be supported through this year's competition for civil sector funding. The most successful project this year comes from the NGO "Natura" Kolašin. Their initiative "Action for Nature", which includes afforestation, urban greening and the renovation of hiking trails, won the highest number of points, a total of 98.

The NGO “All on the Same Task” project entitled “From Village to Ski Trails Without Obstacles” received one point less, aimed at providing equal opportunities to children from rural areas of the Kolašin municipality. Among the highest-ranked is the NGO “CIRTIP” project, which deals with the preservation of traditional games and songs. Their project “Three Songs from Kolašin”, which plans to produce a limited vinyl edition of the Đude group, received 90,2 points.

Support will also be provided to the "ISKI Ski Camp" Kolašin, as well as the "Parent 1/1" project of the "Mama i Ja" organization, which focuses on psychosocial support and empowerment of single parents.

The final ranking list was determined after the deadline for objections to the preliminary results of the competition, which was announced in March this year, expired.

As previously decided, the priority areas of public interest for which the Municipality will provide financial support to NGOs are, among others, the preservation of cultural potential, tradition and cultural specificities of the municipality, as well as initiatives and activities aimed at raising the level of urban culture and preserving cultural heritage. Also, priority is given to small and local activities that encourage greater involvement of young people in decision-making processes, environmental protection and rural development.

Two years ago, the municipality repealed the previous decision on financing NGO projects and adopted a new one. It was also determined that the minimum amount of funds allocated cannot be less than 80 percent of the requested amount and that a project can be financed up to 20 percent of the total funds provided for in the budget. Last year, four NGOs received support, and a total of 8.000 euros were distributed to them.
