Lisičić: The Arsenal FC case is not just a local issue, it is a reflection of the system created by the current state government

While we are being bombarded daily with promises from the state level about European standards, chapters 23 and 24 and the famous IBAR, in practice we see a completely different picture. The case of FC "Arsenal" from Tivat is not just a local issue, it is a mirror of the system created by the current state government.

This was announced by Ćazim Lisičić, a member of the European Union in the Municipal Assembly (MA) of Tivat.

"The findings of the Ministry of Public Administration have confirmed what I have been insisting on for months: this club is knowingly and illegally hiding data on the spending of our money. What is fascinating, however, is the arrogance with which local government officials, cornered by the truth, publicly announce that they will walk us to the Constitutional Court for years, just so they don't show the analytical cards for the period from 2021 to 2025. I ask the top state: are these the "reforms" you are talking about? Has the rule of law become a training ground for sheriffing individuals who think they are stronger than the law and inspection," he said in a statement to the public.

Lisičić said that citizens need to know that this kind of behavior is not an incident.

"This is a conscious product of the government that has created an environment in which a party membership card is more important than the law. If a local official can so openly defy state inspection, what can an ordinary person expect at higher levels? This is a picture of a system in which documents on the spending of all citizens' money are kept as the strictest state secret, while citizens, 'filling themselves like a storm through the Pines', are sold fairy tales and quotes instead of receipts," he pointed out.

Lisičić reminds us that this is the same system that has already tried to discredit me once with untruths about my compensation, which I denied with an official document from the Secretariat for Finance.

"When someone misses the truth like that, every word they say loses its value. That is precisely why the European Union is getting stronger day by day. People see what the "products" of this government are and no longer want to pay the price of their lack of transparency and arrogance. My role as a councilor is not to argue, but to expose the system that mocks you in your face while spending our money. My fitness is excellent and I say to the mentors who created such staff: you will not tire us with obstructions. Every cent and every card will come out in the sun, because the citizens of Tivat and Montenegro have the right to know the truth," concluded the councilor of the European Union.
