As part of the national campaign "Take care, let it take care of you", a visit was organized today to the viewpoints on the Cetinje - Budva road, as well as to the location of the temporary landfill of bulky waste in the village of Brajići.
EU Ambassador to Montenegro Johan Satler, Mayor of Budva Municipality Nikola Jovanović, Director of DOO Komunalno Budva Marija Jovićević, local activist Anđa Budimir, representative of the environmental protection organization "Čista Gora", young European ambassadors and volunteers discussed the problems and challenges in the fight against waste, as well as solutions and ideas that can contribute to environmental preservation and development of this area.
"Several eco-benches with the message 'Take care, and let it take care of you' were placed at the viewpoints, while 12.000 plastic bottles were used to make one bench, thus saving one tree," the utility company announced.
Bins for small waste have also been installed, and there are plans to install warning and educational signs that will remind citizens and visitors about responsible waste disposal.
