Just two days ago, I warned that it was irresponsible and dangerous to present an unfinished road, without adequate signage, without full infrastructure, with unfinished roundabouts, intersections and unsecured parts of the route, as a great success and to put it into operation for the sake of political marketing. Unfortunately, already today, a traffic accident occurred on that “open” boulevard in which two people were injured.
This was announced by Miloš Mašković, a councilor for the European Union in the Assembly of the Capital City of Podgorica, alluding to the fact that the first phase of Vojislavljevića Boulevard, from King Nikola Street to Princess Ksenija Street, was opened to traffic on Thursday.
"Without prejudging the causes of the accident itself, there remains a serious question of the responsibility of the mayor who, for the sake of photography and political promotion, presented an unfinished and security-disputed project to citizens as a completed solution. This leads us to the conclusion that cameras are more important than the safety of citizens, and that the consequences could be serious," Mašković stated in a post on Iks.
