"Enrollment refers to children who are enrolling in a preschool institution for the first time and children who were withdrawn from kindergarten during the previous school year, and whose parents/guardians wish to re-enroll them. The application procedure is simple and requires entering the child's personal identification number, after which the system automatically downloads other necessary data and documentation from relevant databases (birth certificate, certificates from social work centers, etc.)," the statement states.

The Ministry of Education and Science said that detailed instructions for electronic registration are available in the video:

"Parents and guardians who are unable to enroll their child electronically can apply directly at the preschool premises. Children who attended preschool education programs the previous year do not need to submit a new application, but only need the parent/guardian to sign a contract with the kindergarten administration," the Ministry of Education and Science said.

The government department, headed by Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, notes that when signing the contract, the parent/guardian is obliged to bring a Certificate of Systematic Medical Examination of the child, the content of which is prescribed by the state administration body responsible for health affairs.

"For a child with special educational needs, a Decision on the guidance of children with special educational needs is submitted along with the request for enrollment of the child in the institution. The date for signing the contract will be announced later," said the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

They state that they are continuing activities aimed at raising awareness about the importance of preschool education, with the aim of increasing the coverage of children with preschool education.
