The delegation of the State Prosecutor's Office of Montenegro participated in the Third Meeting of the Consultative Forum of Chief and Special Prosecutors of the Western Balkans, which was held today in Sarajevo, organized by the European Agency for Judicial Cooperation (EUROJUST).

As announced by the prosecutor's office, the forum was dedicated to strengthening regional and international cooperation in the prosecution of organized and cross-border crime, as well as improving mechanisms for information exchange, coordination of investigations and joint action of competent prosecutors' offices, with the support of EUROJUST.

The meeting was attended by a delegation from the State Prosecutor's Office of Montenegro, consisting of the Supreme State Prosecutor Milorad Marković, Chief Special Prosecutor Vladimir Novović, Prosecutor for Liaison with EUROJUST Jelena Đaletić, and State Prosecutor assigned to the Special State Prosecutor's Office Maja Janković.

During the forum, representatives of the State Prosecutor's Office held a meeting with the President of EUROJUST, Mihal Šmid, who praised the cooperation so far and the results achieved by the Prosecutor's Office, according to a statement from the Prosecutor's Office.

Meetings were also held with the heads of prosecutors' offices from the countries of the region, where further directions of cooperation in cross-border crime cases were discussed, as well as possibilities for improving operational connectivity and the efficiency of joint investigations.
