The Mayor of the Municipality of Bar, Dušan Raičević, met with the coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Montenegro, Nihal Ersoy, announced the Bar local administration.
The meeting was an opportunity to exchange impressions about the cooperation so far, as well as the numerous activities that TIKA has implemented in Bar in the previous period, through various humanitarian and socially responsible initiatives.
"The importance of projects that contributed to improving the quality of life of citizens, as well as the development of the local community in the areas of culture, healthcare, economy, tourism and agriculture, was particularly emphasized," the statement said.
President Raičević thanked Ms. Ersoy and the TIKA agency for their dedicated work, openness to cooperation, and willingness to contribute to the further development of Bar through concrete initiatives.
TIKA Coordinator Nihal Ersoy, as reported by the Municipality of Bar, expressed satisfaction with the meeting and the cooperation with the Municipality of Bar so far, with openness to further improve partnership relations through projects of concrete importance to citizens.
Special attention during the meeting was paid to the possibility of implementing a project to support agricultural producers in Bar, through the provision of equipment that would improve the conditions for farming and contribute to the strengthening of the agricultural sector in Bar.
The interlocutors expressed their mutual willingness to continue and further strengthen the cooperation between the Municipality of Bar and TIKA, "through concrete initiatives that will be focused on the needs of the local community and the well-being of the citizens of Bar."
