Five new educational programs at the Pljevlja Vocational High School

From the next school year, future high school students in Pljevlja will have the opportunity to choose from five new educational programs licensed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation. The new majors will be implemented for the first time at the Pljevlja Vocational High School, further expanding the range of occupations offered by this educational institution.

Of the five licensed educational programs, two are fourth-level and three are third-level. Students will be able to choose the educational profiles of gynecological and obstetric technician and technician for design and computer-aided construction in mechanical engineering, which are fourth-level, while new three-year programs include CNC operator, renewable energy installer and pastry chef.

In addition to the new majors, elementary school graduates will also have access to existing educational programs, including economic technician, health technician, electrical technician for computer systems and networks, legal and administrative technician, technician for shipping, customs and transport organization, gastronomy technician, as well as numerous craft professions such as locksmith-welder, car mechanic, cook, waiter, salesperson, electrician and motor vehicle driver.

The licensing of new educational programs, as announced by this educational institution, was preceded by a detailed control by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation. The licensing commission, headed by the Head of the Directorate for Secondary and Vocational Education, Prof. Slobodan Savović, visited the school offices, inspected the teaching aids and rooms for practical teaching, as well as the qualifications of the teaching staff who will implement the new programs.

After the inspection, it was determined that the Secondary Vocational School Pljevlja meets all legally prescribed requirements for teaching within the new educational programs.

The school director, Velibor Pupović, emphasized that the licensing process was not simple, but that it was successfully completed thanks to the great commitment of the employees, the support of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, Minister Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, as well as cooperation with local institutions.

"Thanks to the great effort and good cooperation of the school with the relevant ministry, the Center for Vocational Education, the General Hospital, the Health Center and the Coal Mine, we have managed to create excellent conditions for the education of our current and future students. Our students will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge in conditions similar to those of vocational schools in developed European countries," said Pupović.

He emphasized that the new educational programs will enable students to continue their education at universities in the country and abroad, as well as to more easily enter the labor market after graduating from high school.

"Even now, although enrollment has not yet begun, there is great interest among elementary school students in enrolling in our school. The Pljevlja Vocational High School is a modern and well-equipped educational institution that meets the highest standards in the field of upbringing and education, and obtaining licenses for new educational programs is additional confirmation of the quality of our work," said Pupović.

The Pljevlja Vocational High School, he adds, remains an educational institution that offers future high school students the widest range of occupations compared to all other high schools in Montenegro and the region, providing young people with the opportunity to find an educational profile in line with their interests and labor market needs.
