The Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information (AZLP) has fully accepted the complaint of the European Union councilor in the Tivat Municipal Assembly, Ćazim Lisičić, against the management of the Arsenal Tivat Football Club, he announced today.
Lisičić assessed that this decision confirmed that the club had violated the law by failing to submit the requested financial documentation for the period from 2021 to 2025 for several months.
"With this decision, the AZLP has dealt a legal slap to the club's management, officially confirming that Arsenal has grossly violated the law by remaining silent for months and concealing financial documentation for the period from 2021 to 2025," Lisičić stated.
He pointed out that this was the first round won, which broke the club's wall of silence.
"It was only under this institutional pressure and the order of the Administrative Inspection that the club's management was forced to take off their masks and come up with a panicked, belated decision refusing to submit analytical cards and account statements. Their excuses: from the fact that the request for funding is a 'fad' and 'political profit' to the claim that they do not have the capacity to print, are legally completely founded at exactly zero euros. And I must admit that the environmental awareness of the club's management and the concern for the Amazon forests while refusing to print papers is touching, but I must remind them that in 2026, analytical cards will be sent in PDF, with one click. Unless there is too much 'creative writing' in those files that even the digital format cannot tolerate," the European Union councilor said.
He said that the real fight for the financial data itself is yet to come.
"My new appeal against that late rejection has already been submitted, and today the official postal return receipt arrived that the AZLP received the case on June 4th. This result is a clear message to all our fellow citizens that they have a stable and unwavering partner through the European Union. The citizens of Tivat can always count on our uncompromising support and consistent institutional struggle. We do not give up and do not compromise, we will fight at every step and insist on procedures until we achieve complete justice. The finances that are filled from the pockets of all citizens will be transparent, and we are going to tighten the institutional ring around the darkness and secrets in Tivat sports to the end," concluded Lisičić.
