The President of the Municipality of Budva, Nikola Jovanović, hosted a reception today for Nikola Karadžić, Jana Savić, Filip Savić, Elena Nikolić and Anja Barjaktarović, winners of the Grand Final of the international festival "Rhythm of Europe", who, with their extraordinary performance, presented Budva in the best possible way and won first place in this prestigious competition - the Municipality of Budva announced.
The reception was also attended, as stated in the statement, by representatives of the "Rhythm of Europe" organization - executive director David Makević, television program director Igor Karadarević and head of organization and protocol Nenad Jeremić, as well as project coordinator on behalf of the Municipality of Budva Aleksandra Medigović.
"President Jovanović congratulated the winners on their exceptional success, emphasizing that their victory represents the pride of the entire Budva and another confirmation of the values, talent and dedication of the young people who represent our city. As he stated, they are the best ambassadors of Budva, who represent their city in the most beautiful and dignified way," the statement from the Mayor's Office states.
Jovanović emphasized that the culture and creativity of youth must be at the center of community development, and that the Municipality of Budva will continue to support programs that encourage creativity, talent, and active participation of young people in the cultural life of the city.
"This year's victory represents a continuation of the exceptional results that Budva has achieved at the "Rhythm of Europe" festival. After winning first place in 2024 and successfully hosting the international final in 2025, the next edition of this international competition will be held in our city. On this occasion, President Jovanović expressed particular satisfaction with the fact that Budva will again host the festival in 2027, emphasizing that the local government, as before, will do everything to ensure that the organization is at the highest level and worthy of the reputation that the festival enjoys in the region," the statement said.
Representatives of the organization "Rhythm of Europe" thanked the Mayor for the reception and the opportunity to celebrate Budva's great success at this year's competition together with the winning team.
"The Municipality of Budva will continue to support young talents and initiatives that contribute to their development and affirmation, recognizing their success as an important contribution to the promotion of the city and an encouragement to future generations to follow their ambitions and achieve notable results," the statement concludes.
