The non-governmental organization (NGO) Radio Svetigora has withdrawn the proposal for Veselin Drljević's candidacy for a member of the RTCG Council, Vijesti has learned.
According to the editorial office, the letter arrived at the Administrative Board and the Assembly's registry office today, and is signed by the director of the NGO Radio Svetigora, Archpriest-Stavrophor Dalibor Milaković.
The NGO, the editorial team was told, did not provide any additional explanation for its move.
The media also announced yesterday that the Montenegrin Journalists' Association had withdrawn the proposal for Drljević to serve as a member of the Council for another term. They did this after it was announced that several journalists had returned their awards precisely because of their support for Drljević.
The RTCG employees' union today called on MPs not to support Drljević's re-election.
Previously, several NGOs expressed doubts about the authenticity of the documentation for candidates Drljević and Amar Škrijelj. They called on MPs to disclose all documents submitted by the organizations that nominated the two candidates during the competition.
