Ministry of Defense repeats advertisement for cadet education at military academies in Turkey

The Ministry of Defense of Montenegro has repeated the public advertisement for the education of cadets at military academies in Turkey, and a total of four cadets are being sought in the 2026/2027 academic year, the ministry announced.

As they state, the ads are intended for young people who want to build a professional military career and obtain a quality education with full funding for their education and a monthly stipend.

"After completing their studies, cadets who successfully complete their education are guaranteed a permanent job in the Army of Montenegro with the initial rank of officer. At the Military Academy of the Land Forces in Ankara, infantry department, and at the Air Force Academy in Istanbul, pilot department, one cadet is being sought, while at the Medical Faculty in Gulhane in Ankara, general department, two cadets are being sought," they said.

They add that education at the Army Military Academy and the Air Force Academy begins in October 2026 and lasts five years, a preparatory year for learning the Turkish language and four years of academic studies, while education at the Gulhane Medical Faculty lasts seven years, a preparatory year for learning the Turkish language and six years of academic studies.

During the selection process, they add, additional checks will be organized in accordance with the requirements of the Turkish side, which relate to personal appearance and health.

"In addition to the general conditions prescribed by law, cadets must also meet special criteria related to age, academic success, health, psychological and physical ability, as well as other requirements in accordance with the rules of the academies and receiving countries," the statement said.

The deadline for submitting applications is June 16, 2026, and applications are submitted to the Ministry of Defense.
