The work of the utility company in Kolašin is difficult, there is a shortage of workers.

Labor shortages are a continuing problem for the Kolašin Utility Company. This challenge is also highlighted in the company's annual report.

As explained by the company director Dusan Simovic, The problem of providing adequate human resources has been ongoing for many years and is reflected in the inability to provide a sufficient number of quality and qualified workers to fill basic job positions. It is particularly pronounced in the “Cleanliness” Working Unit, where the lack of employees directly affects the scope and quality of daily utility services.

This problem, as stated in the report, represents a permanent obstacle to the functioning of the system, and is especially evident during the summer tourist season, when the number of residents and visitors to Kolašin increases significantly, and the need for utility services increases manifold.

The report of the Public Utility Company states that the provision of human resources, as one of the key problems in previous years, is reflected in the inability to employ a sufficient number of quality workers needed to fill basic positions, especially in the “Čistoća” Unit. This problem continues to represent the main obstacle to the quality performance of activities throughout the year, and especially in the summer tourist season.

The company currently employs 31 workers, and less than a third of that number are engaged in the “Čistoća” municipal unit. Six employees work in administration, as many as are responsible for the market and the city cemetery, while eight employees are engaged in mechanization work, and one person is responsible for maintaining the city's lighting.
