The Association of Montenegrin Journalists yesterday submitted a letter to the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro in which they withdraw the candidacy of Veselin Drljević for member of the council of Radio and Television of Montenegro (RTCG).
According to "Vijesti", this was done after a committee session, during which the candidates for members of the RTCG Council answered questions from MPs.
The Montenegrin Journalists' Association previously informed the public that it had withdrawn its candidacy.
The President of the Administrative Board, Jelena Nedović, previously announced during that session that the non-governmental organization (NGO) had never officially withdrawn the proposal for Drljević to be their candidate.
"No act has ever arrived in the Parliament withdrawing support for you, such an act does not exist in this building," Nedović said yesterday.
The document allegedly arrived later, after the Administrative Board decided to propose Drljević, Pavle Radovanović, Amar Škrijelj and Radenko Lacmanović as members of the RTCG Council to the Assembly.
