Mugoša: My brother was illegally removed, some from this hall participated in it

European Union MP Boris Mugoša said today in the Parliament that his brother, physician Aleksandar Mugoša, was illegally removed from the position of president of the Medical Chamber of Montenegro four years ago, and said that because of this he does not accept moral lessons from some political actors.

During the parliamentary debate, he recalled the verdict of the Higher Court in Podgorica according to which the Medical Chamber illegally terminated the mandate of the bodies, but also initiated the procedure for the election of a new president and deputy of that professional association.

"Today you could see the news that my brother was illegally removed from a certain position. By the way, my brother was a bigger opponent of the former government than 90 percent of you sitting in this room. The profession elected him to that position, it is not about the appointment of the Government," Mugoša pointed out.

The European Union representative said that, despite being elected to the position by profession, his brother was removed by a political decision after a change in government.

"Do you know who replaced him in this regime of yours? Politics," Mugoša said.

He added that his response at the time was to leave the case to the institutions of the system, not to political showdowns.

"After four years, it has been confirmed that he was unlawfully dismissed," said the European Union MP, adding that he does not accept criticism from some colleagues in parliament because of this.

"That's why, colleagues, I ask you not to give me moral lessons here. Because some from this room participated in an illegal shift. And then you say that we are not the same. Well, we are not, because I am not whining or playing the victim, but I am very patient and I want to believe in the institutions of the system," Mugoša said.
