As part of the project implemented by the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI) with the European Investment Bank, a tender has been announced for the selection of a designer to develop a conceptual design and main project for the construction of a new primary school in Zabjelo in Podgorica.
As announced by the Ministry of National Infrastructure, this is the location of the urban plot UP D1.1, in urban zone D, block 1, which is within the scope of the Detailed Urban Plan "Zabjelo 8".
The total area of the plot is 12.825 square meters, and the land was provided by the Capital City of Podgorica for the construction of the school.
The new school is planned to be a modern and functional facility with a gross construction area of around 8.000 square meters, intended for 620 students in one shift, or 1.240 students in two shifts, the Ministry of Education and Science said.
"The facility should be a modern building, in accordance with its purpose, which can be achieved both through its external appearance and through a functional solution and the impression that the interior space would leave. The school should contain 4 clusters with a total of 11 main classrooms, 5 subject and 14 specialized classrooms, two gymnasiums with supporting facilities, 4 outdoor classrooms and sports fields," the statement said.
As explained, the cluster model involves grouping classrooms and accompanying facilities into unique spatial units connected by shared multifunctional spaces.
"Such an organization strengthens cooperation between different departments and enables the formation of clear and functionally complete units within the school building," the statement says.
Four clusters have been planned for the needs of this school, which, as the Ministry of Education and Science points out, will improve the functional organization of educational facilities.
