The Art School of Music and Ballet "Vasa Pavić" in Podgorica has established cooperation with the "Ningbo Foreign Affairs School" (Ningbo Art School) from the People's Republic of China, thus opening a new chapter in the international cooperation of this educational institution.
The signing ceremony of the Cooperation Agreement was held on June 11, 2026 in Podgorica, and the event was attended by the Chinese Ambassador Chen Sufeng, the delegation of the partner school led by Deputy Director Jiang Yaojie, as well as the representative of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation Marica Melović, Director of the Directorate for Scientific and Research Activities. The ceremony was also attended by about 30 students from the Chinese partner school, the "Vasa Pavić" school announced.
The attendees were addressed by the director of the "Vasa Pavić" school, Tijana Ilić, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Montenegro, Chen Sufeng, the deputy director of the Chinese partner school, Jiang Yaojie, as well as the representative of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, Marica Melović. They emphasized the importance of strengthening friendly, cultural and educational ties between Montenegro and China.
Ilić and Jaođie signed an agreement, formally establishing the foundations of future cooperation between the two institutions.
As announced, the agreement opens up opportunities for the exchange of students and teachers, the implementation of joint projects and programs, professional development, as well as the promotion of cultural and artistic exchange between the two schools.
As part of a broader program marking 20 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Montenegro and the People's Republic of China, students from the "Vasa Pavić" school participated in a ceremony at the Music Center of Montenegro, organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, the statement concluded.
