The Municipality of Pljevlja donated 5.000 euros to the Ristan Pavlović Elementary School to equip the chemistry classroom, in recognition of the exceptional results achieved by the school's students and their mentor, Professor Ana Milović, in competitions in this subject.
The school announced that the valuable donation was the occasion for a visit by the President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Dr. Darija Vraneš, and his associates to the educational institution, where a demonstration chemistry class was held on the occasion. The class was conducted by chemistry professor Ana Milović, in the presence of the school director Borko Klačar and representatives of the local administration.
The donation was presented in recognition of the exceptional results achieved by the school's students and their mentor. Nevena Čolović, a ninth-grade student, particularly stood out, as she won first place at the State Chemistry Competition this year, as well as first place at the Knowledge Olympiad. Her success is the result of talent, dedicated work, but also the professional and dedicated mentorship of Professor Ana Milović, who has been achieving remarkable results with her students for years.
During the demonstration lesson, with the participation of the most gifted students, those present had the opportunity to enjoy interesting and educational experiments that best demonstrated the beauty and importance of chemistry, as well as the knowledge and dedication of the students and their teachers.
Professor Ana Milović emphasized that this donation is of great importance, as it will provide better conditions for practical teaching, stimulate students' interest, and further motivate them for learning and research work.
School principal Borko Klačar thanked the school for this valuable donation and, on behalf of the team, presented a letter of appreciation to the Mayor, emphasizing the importance of continued support for education and talented students.
The director also thanked the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation, headed by Prof. Dr. Anđela Jakšić Stojanović, as well as the Director of the Directorate for Preschool and Primary Education, Svetlana Drobnjak, for the valuable donation from December last year, thanks to which the necessary chemicals and laboratory equipment for teaching were purchased.
"Such investments in education not only improve the teaching process, but also create a stimulating environment in which students can develop their potential, cultivate a love of science, and achieve remarkable results," the school said in a statement.
