The UN Office for the Implementation of Projects UNOPS has announced, for the needs of the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI), an international tender for the selection of a designer to develop a conceptual design and main design for the construction of an elementary school in the Podgorica settlement of Blok 35-36.
As announced by the Ministry of National Infrastructure, the land for the project was provided by the Capital City.
"The elementary school should be designed as a modern and functional facility with a gross construction area of approximately 7,3 thousand square meters (m²) for 450 students in one shift, or 900 students in two shifts," the statement said.
It is added that the facility should be designed in accordance with modern standards of educational infrastructure, through a quality architectural and functional solution that will provide adequate conditions for teaching and student accommodation.
"The project is being implemented within the framework of the "Improvement of School Infrastructure in Montenegro" program, which is being implemented by UNOPS in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science, with financial support from the European Investment Bank (EIB)," the Ministry of Education and Science said.
The government department said that the deadline for submitting bids is July 27th, and the tender is available at this link.
