The President of the Municipality of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević, declared Monday, June 15, 2026, a Day of Mourning due to the tragic deaths of two young fellow citizens - Milan Turčinović and Janko Mrvaljević, his office announced.
"The Day of Mourning is marked by flying the flag at half-mast on the building of the Municipality of Nikšić, public enterprises, public institutions founded by the Municipality, local community buildings and other institutions in the territory of the Municipality of Nikšić. Electronic and other media are obliged to adapt their programs and content to the Day of Mourning," it states.
They add that it is also prohibited to broadcast music or hold entertainment programs in public places.
"The Municipality of Nikšić calls on all road users to comply with traffic regulations and thus avoid such tragedies in the future," they said.
