Investing in human capacities is the foundation of reforms and the basis for building a modern and efficient public administration, said the relevant Minister Maraš Dukaj.

As announced by the Ministry of Public Administration, Dukaj said this at a meeting with the Commissioner for Supervision of the Civil Service of Albania, Lefteri Leshi.

"The best results are achieved through the exchange of knowledge, experiences and good practices at the regional level and beyond, because investing in people is the basis for building a modern and efficient public administration," said Dukaj.

The statement states that Dukaj and Lješi discussed improving human capacities in public administration, with a special focus on professional training, professional development programs, and the development of competencies necessary for the application of European standards in the work of the civil service.

"The interlocutors exchanged experiences on models of education and continuous professional development of employees, as well as ways to strengthen the knowledge and skills necessary for the efficient implementation of reform processes and the provision of quality services to citizens," the statement said.

It is added that the importance of regional cooperation in creating and implementing training programs that contribute to the acquisition of new knowledge, strengthening professional competencies and better preparation of civil servants for the application of European standards and modern management principles was particularly emphasized.

"It was emphasized that the continuous development of human resources is one of the key prerequisites for the successful implementation of reforms and improving the quality of institutional work," the statement said.

Dukaj said that nothing can replace a professional, trained and motivated civil servant.

"It is precisely the people who are the greatest strength and guarantor of successful reforms," ​​said Dukaj.

The Ministry's statement states that Dukaj and Lješi expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation through joint educational activities, professional exchanges and training programs that will contribute to the development of civil servant competencies, more efficient human resource management and the building of a professional and modern public administration in both countries.
