The Budva Riviera Hotel Group (HG) announced today that the parking lot "near Volija" in Petrovac has been put into operation and made available for use by all citizens and visitors, free of charge, with the aim of improving the availability of parking spaces during the tourist season and relieving traffic congestion.
"However, in the previous period, situations have been recorded in which individual individuals, on their own initiative and without a known legal basis, charge for passage through a neighboring plot that represents access to a parking space owned by the Budvanska Riviera. In this way, citizens and tourists are effectively prevented or made more difficult to use the free parking space that is made available to the public," the Budvanska Riviera announced.
They added that "it is unacceptable for anyone to achieve private benefit at the expense of citizens, tourists and state property, especially considering that the intention of HG Budvanska rivijera AD was to make this parking lot available to everyone under equal conditions and without additional costs."
"We call on the competent institutions, primarily the municipal inspection, the competent local government authorities and other competent inspections, to urgently establish all relevant facts and take measures within their jurisdiction in order to protect the public interest, enable unhindered access to the parking space and prevent possible misuse of state property. The Budvanska rivijera AD hotel group will, as a responsible business entity, continue to act in accordance with the law, protecting the interests of the Company, citizens and tourists, and providing full support to all activities that contribute to improving the quality of life and cooperation with the local community. We expect the competent authorities to take appropriate measures in the interest of citizens and the local community as soon as possible," the statement said.
