At the University of Montenegro (UCG), awards were ceremoniously presented to the best at the Knowledge Olympiad, held in mid-May at the Faculty of Science (FSM).

A total of 74 students – 30 elementary school students and 44 high school students – won awards at this year's Olympiad.

Students won awards in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Programming.

The President of the Governing Board of the University of Montenegro (UCG), Milivoje Radović, said that the winners of the Olympiad are "The Light That Illuminates the Face of Society with Knowledge."

"I am sure that with your talent and effort you will achieve many more victories, both domestically and internationally... Always remain so diligent and curious. This way you will continue to push the boundaries of knowledge and achievement," Radović told the students.

The Dean of the Faculty of Science (FSc) of the University of Montenegro, Miljan Bigović, stated that it is not easy to "address the best of the best".

He said that his heart is full when he sees a full amphitheater of young and future scientists.

Bigović thanked the University administration, adding that it helped them organize the 17th Knowledge Olympiad.

He pointed out that the science competition is a "personal stamp" that gives strength to maintain the existence of the natural sciences.
