The frequency of vehicles will be increased on most roads in Montenegro and border crossings today, the Automobile and Motorcycle Association (AMSCG) said, appealing to road users to respect traffic regulations.
The AMSCG advised drivers traveling on longer routes to take more frequent breaks, especially during the hottest part of the day.
Traffic on the Pljevlja - Žabljak road, due to the reconstruction of the Đurđevića Tara bridge, has been completely suspended for freight traffic - for vehicles with a carrying capacity of over 3,5 tons, until the work is completed.
Passenger vehicles and buses will operate alternately, while traffic will be suspended from six to eight, from ten to noon, and from two to eight o'clock.
Due to the reconstruction of the regional road R-29 Bar - Kamenički most - Krute, traffic will be suspended from 8 am to 11 am and from 1 pm to 4 pm.
Traffic on the regional road R-17, on the Čevo - Riđani section, is suspended from 8 am to 2 pm due to renovations.
On the regional road R-30, at the entrance to Petnjica, vehicles are operating alternately from 8 am to 5 pm due to the construction of a retaining wall.
Traffic on the regional road R-30, section Petnjica - Bioča, section Bioča-Lješnica, is suspended from 8 am to 12 pm and from 1 pm to 5 pm.
Due to the reconstruction of the Petnjica - Bioča road, the traffic regime has been changed from two-way to alternating, and a temporary traffic suspension of no longer than 60 minutes has been approved. Traffic will not be suspended on weekdays from 7 am to 9 am and from 12 pm to 2 pm.
Due to the reconstruction of the R-3 regional road, on the Pljevlja-Dajevića Han section, the traffic regime has been changed from two-way to one-way, and occasional traffic interruptions of no longer than 30 minutes are also permitted.
On the M-4 main road, Podgorica - Božaj section, due to the adaptation of a part of the road in the center of Tuzi, vehicles are driving alternately from the Voli market to the Catholic church.
Due to the construction of a boulevard on Vojisavljevića Street in Podgorica, vehicles from “Kralja Nikole” Street to “Ksenije Cicvarić” Street are traveling alternately.
The AMSCG said that from 19 p.m. to midnight, the traffic of freight vehicles with a maximum permissible mass exceeding 7,5 tons is prohibited on parts of the main roads:
M-1 GP Debeli Brijeg-Herceg Novi-Kotor-Tivat-(Krtolska intersection) -Budva-Bar-Ulcinj-GP Sukobin
M-2 Podgorica-Sotonići-Petrovac
M-3 Podgorica-Mioska-Kolašin
M-10 Podgorica-Cetinje-Budva
The traffic of freight vehicles with a maximum permissible mass exceeding 7,5 tons is prohibited from 7 a.m. to midnight on the section of the regional road R-1 Kotor - Trojica (intersection with M-1), Kotor municipality, to the town of Krstac (intersection with R25), Cetinje municipality.
The AMSCG said that traffic of M2 and M3 category buses (light and heavy buses and vans) and campers is prohibited throughout the day on sections of regional roads:
R-1, from Krstac (intersection with R25), Cetinje municipality to Trojica - Kotor (intersection with M-1), Kotor municipality, from the direction of Njeguš in the direction of Kotor,
R-25.1, section Međuvrsje - Lovćen, from the parking lot to the Mausoleum, in both directions.
