The Public Company for National Parks of Montenegro announced that on the occasion of the Statehood Day of Montenegro, on Monday, July 13th, entrance to all five national parks -- Durmitor, Biogradska Gora, Skadar Lake, Lovćen and Prokletije -- will be free.
"This day is a great opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends and enjoy the most beautiful areas of national parks, hiking, mountaineering, cycling, visiting educational and walking trails, as well as discovering new locations and experiencing the beauty of protected areas from a different perspective," the NPCG announced.
They appealed to visitors to contribute to the preservation of protected areas through their responsible behavior, respecting the rules of staying in nature and taking care of both their own safety and that of other visitors.
"It is important not to disturb the flora and fauna, to move exclusively on marked and marked paths, to use appropriate clothing and footwear and not to leave waste behind. Staying in national parks is not only an opportunity for rest and recreation, but also for gaining new experiences, getting to know natural values and having beautiful experiences. By preserving nature, we preserve the most valuable part of Montenegro's identity and the heritage that we leave for future generations," it was announced.
