The future development of Andrijevica must be based on better connectivity, a stronger local economy and greater support for agriculture, tourism and small business, so that the development potential of this region can be used for the benefit of all citizens, said Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović.
"The natural resources of this region must become a source of new opportunities, safer jobs and a better quality of life for its citizens," Milatović said in a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Day of the Municipality of Andrijevica.
He pointed out that Andrijevica has historically been a stronghold of the libertarian tradition and values on which Montenegro is based, emphasizing that its historical heritage obliges it to act responsibly, while its natural resources represent a key support for the revival and development of the north of the country.
"As president, but also as a man who believes in a Montenegro of equal opportunities, I say that the north must not be forgotten. Our common obligation is to transform Andrijevica from an area with potential into an area of realized opportunities, with modern infrastructure, stable jobs and an environment in which young people do not think about leaving, but proudly build a future in their homeland," said Milatović.
He particularly emphasized the importance of creating conditions for young people to build their future in Andrijevica, where they will be able to plan their lives, start a family, and realize their knowledge and ambitions.
"I believe that Andrijevica, relying on its people, its tradition and the potential it possesses, can make a strong development leap and make an even greater contribution to the progress of Montenegro," concluded Milatović.
