The Vice President of the Lagatori Local Community, Sabaheta Novalić, called on the Municipality of Petnjica and the competent authorities to urgently determine responsibility for the damage to the Kutnje Brdo–Javorova road, stating that during the construction of the approximately one kilometer long section, approximately seven kilometers of the existing road were severely damaged.

She told Radio Petnjica that some houses were also put at risk.

As she announced, Novalić is speaking out publicly for the second time because of what she claims is the irresponsible attitude of the authorities towards this problem.

According to her, the company "Tofi" from Rožaje, which was carrying out work on a section about one kilometer long for the Municipality of Petnjica, severely damaged a significantly longer part of the existing road with its machinery, Radio Petnjica reports.

"In addition to the road being seriously devastated, private houses at the very beginning of this section are also at risk, which further increases the locals' concern for the safety of people and their property," said Novalić.

She points out that citizens of the three local communities have repeatedly pointed out the problem and requested the repair of the damage.

"They were promised that the road would be restored to its original condition, but to date nothing has been done. This is why the locals feel cheated and deceived," said Novalić.

She called on the Municipality of Petnjica and other competent authorities to go to the field, determine the responsibility of the contractor and investor, and ensure the complete rehabilitation of the road, as well as the protection of endangered private properties.
