Memorandum of cooperation between the prosecutors' offices of Montenegro and Costa Rica signed

The Supreme State Prosecutor of Montenegro, Milorad Marković, and the Attorney General of Costa Rica, Carlos Diaz Sánchez, signed a memorandum of understanding which, as announced, represents the basis for strengthening direct cooperation between the prosecutors' offices of the two countries.

The Supreme State Prosecutor's Office (SPO) said that the goal of the memorandum is to effectively and directly combat organized crime and other serious crimes, especially drug trafficking, through improved information exchange, coordination of investigations, and more efficient processing of cross-border cases.

"The memorandum represents the basis for strengthening direct cooperation between prosecutors' offices, providing additional space for the exchange of experiences and improving mechanisms for international legal assistance in cases of mutual interest," the statement said.

As stated, the special importance of the Memorandum is reflected in the possibility of direct communication, exchange of relevant data and coordination of activities in complex investigations, thus contributing to a more efficient fight against modern forms of crime.
