Berane represents the historical, cultural and intellectual center of the Montenegrin north, whose libertarian tradition and rich heritage are permanently embedded in the foundations of modern and civic Montenegro, said President Jakov Milatović.
He congratulated the local government leadership, councilors, and citizens on the Day of the Berane Municipality.
"The knowledge and tradition that this city possesses make it a natural leader in regional development," said Milatović.
He emphasized that Berane's greatest strength is its people, who "left a strong mark throughout Montenegro with their knowledge, work, and character."
"The citizens of Berane deserve institutions that solve real problems and create concrete opportunities on the ground through modern infrastructure, new jobs, and stronger support for the local economy and agriculture."
Milatović said that it is the joint obligation of the state and the local community to translate the development potential of Berane into concrete projects that will improve the quality of life of citizens and provide young people with a secure and stable perspective.
"It is time for the potential of Berane to receive full development support," concluded President Milatović.
