Almost two more months of work for Vučedolska: Renovation of a street in the center of Podgorica costs more than half a million

Residents of downtown Podgorica will wait until mid-September for the completion of work on a section of Vučedolska Street, which is worth almost 519.000 euros including value added tax (VAT).

This was announced yesterday to "Vijesti" by the Agency for Construction and Development of Podgorica.

According to them, the works began on June 16th, and the deadline for their completion will be met "unless there are unforeseen circumstances and if weather conditions allow for uninterrupted execution."

In addition to part of Vučedolska Street, the Construction Agency is also completing work on Bokeška Street:

"From Slobode Street to Njegoševa Street, the completion of the works is expected by the end of the month, while the contracted value of the works including VAT is 179.736 euros. Slobode Street, from Hercegovačka Street to Bulevar Ivana Crnojevića, is closed to traffic. The decision on the traffic regime is made by the Secretariat for Traffic of the Capital City of Podgorica. The reconstruction of the street from Bulevar Svetog Petra Cetinjski to Hercegovačka Street is planned, and the contracted value of the works including VAT is 1.085.362 euros," the Agency, which manages Bajko Vucicevic.

For the water supply network in suburban and rural areas, 840.000 euros

In their responses to "Vijesti", they also state that in the coming period they will "continue the implementation of significant infrastructure projects with the aim of improving traffic and utility infrastructure in Podgorica."

"In this direction, activities have already been initiated to prepare new investments. A public call for tenders has been published for the selection of contractors for the reconstruction of Buta Lekića Street in Durres (estimated value of works 289.256,20 euros including VAT), as well as the second part of Spasa Nikolića Street, up to the connection with Radoja Jovanovića Street (contracted value of works is 216.773,78 euros including VAT). In the coming period, a tender will also be announced for the reconstruction of the Street of Unknown Heroes, where the estimated value of works with VAT is 900.000 euros; the second part of Cara Lazara Street (from Radovan Zogovića Street to Aerodromska Street) at the Old Airport, whose estimated value is 530.000 euros including VAT; Džan Street with an estimated value with VAT of 400.000 euros; the branch to Slobodan Škerovića Street in Durres whose estimated value is 390.000 euros including VAT VAT and Miladin Popovića Street in Zabjelo, whose estimated value is 300.000 euros including VAT," the Agency's responses state.

They emphasized that they would devote more attention to the construction of the water supply network in the suburban and rural areas of Podgorica, stating that this applies to the areas of Mali Brdo, Smokovac and the settlement of Duške in Lijeva Rijeka.

They said they plan to allocate 840.000 euros for these works, and that "the development of project documentation is underway."

"The development of the main project for the reconstruction of Branka Ćopića Street in the underpass area on Zlatica is also underway, which will also be reconstructed, or expanded, to enable traffic to flow in both directions simultaneously. The Agency for Construction and Development of Podgorica has announced an open public procurement procedure for the construction of a lookout tower with accompanying catering facilities in the Gornji Kokoti settlement. The estimated value of the works is 1,3 million euros including VAT, the deadline for completion is 180 calendar days, while the opening of bids is scheduled for July 27 of this year," they said.

The Agency said that the lookout will be built on a plot of land measuring 17.372 square meters, along the main road Podgorica - Cetinje, in a location with a panoramic view of the city.

"The conceptual design is inspired by the 'Pod Goricam' stadium, and the facility will include a grandstand as the central part of the viewing platform, an open café-bar on several levels, an elevator and landscaped green areas. The total gross area of ​​the facility is 537,76 square meters, while about 90 percent of the plot will be landscaped as green areas," they explained.

Other projects...

The agency, they say, has also announced a public call for the selection of contractors for the construction of a road in the DUP "Agro-industrial zone", and their value is three million euros.

"The project envisages the construction of an approximately 800-meter-long boulevard-type road that will connect Veljko Vlahović Boulevard and Josipa Slade Boulevard, with complete supporting infrastructure - water supply, fecal and atmospheric sewage, public lighting, telecommunications sewage, traffic signals and landscaping of the dividing island," they explained.

In mid-May, the Agency for Construction and Development, they claim, opened a public procurement procedure for the development of the main project for the development of the Zlatica park-forest.

"The estimated value of the procurement, including VAT, is EUR 150.000,00, including VAT. However, given that the bidders were excluded from the procedure, it has been annulled and will be repeated. The revision of the Main Design of the Lješkopoljska Gorica Forest Park is underway, and the value of the contract for the development of the Main Design is EUR 172.667, including VAT."

The competition design for the Lješkopoljska Gorica forest park, they state, "represents a vision of transforming this natural hill into a modern, sustainable public space that combines nature protection, recreation, education and active community participation."

"The forest park is conceived as a new green haven for Podgorica - a space intended for relaxation, learning, recreation and biodiversity conservation. More than 95 percent of the area is covered by natural landscapes and forest ecosystems, while a smaller part is reserved for carefully integrated infrastructure, paths and facilities, designed with minimal impact on the natural relief and ecological processes. The planned contents include: walking and cycling paths, viewpoints and observation towers, a center for educational and social content, spaces for sports, yoga and meditation. Through a combination of nature, education, culture and everyday life - including a library and a cafe-bar as new meeting places. The project creates a unique public space that contributes to the quality of life in Podgorica and the preservation of its natural heritage," said the Agency for Construction and Development.

Children's resort "Veruša" on hold

As the Agency said, a public procurement procedure was launched in March for the development of a conceptual design and main project for the renovation of the "Veruša" children's resort.

"In the meantime, the designer has submitted a conceptual design for the reconstruction of building number six and the construction of building number three, which has been submitted for approval to the main city architecture department. After obtaining approval, the development of the main design will begin. The reconstruction of building number six plans to include a modern kitchen, restaurant, cafeteria, accommodation facilities and facilities adapted to children, while building number three is planned as a space for play, education, creative workshops and the organization of various activities. The project also plans to arrange the yard as a functional space for children to play, socialize and spend time outdoors," they said.

Closed shooting range, sports hall, facade renovation...

The renovation of the "Ljubović" Sports Center, they told "Vijesti", is in the main design phase, after the conceptual design was accepted by the chief city architect.

"The value of the contract for the development of project documentation is 164.923 euros including VAT, and the planned complex covers a net area of ​​6.351 square meters. The project is planned for phased implementation and includes the construction of a multifunctional sports hall, an indoor shooting range with accompanying facilities and the reconstruction of the facade of the existing facility. The new hall, with mobile telescopic stands with a capacity of up to 2.000 seats, will enable the holding of more sports activities, while also contributing to increasing the capacity for training and sports competitions in accordance with modern standards."

After the main project is completed and the audit is conducted, they point out, the next step is obtaining a building permit:

"As well as the preparation of tender documentation for the selection of contractors. Upon completion of these procedures, conditions will be created for the start of the implementation of the renovation of the 'Ljubović' shopping center."
