Gusinje celebrates Municipality Day today, August 5th.

Kordić: One of the most characteristic destinations in Montenegro
On the occasion of the Day of the Municipality of Gusinje, on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism and on my own behalf, I extend my sincere congratulations to the Mayor, councilors and all citizens of Gusinje, announced the Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordić.
According to her, Gusinje is one of the most characteristic destinations in Montenegro - a place where exceptional nature, rich cultural heritage and carefully preserved tradition meet in a unique way.
"Prokletije, the Grebaja Valley and numerous other natural sites make this area recognizable among fans of active holidays and untouched nature. It is pleasing to note that Gusinje is recording increasing interest from tourists year after year, which confirms that this area has strong potential for the development of sustainable tourism based on natural values, local tradition and the authentic experience it offers to visitors. We are convinced that by further improving the tourist offer, infrastructural development and preservation of natural wealth, Gusinje will continue to strengthen its position on the tourist map of Montenegro and the region," Kordić stated in her congratulatory message.
Ćulafić: Gusinje understands the importance of nature conservation
Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development Damjan Ćulafić sent a congratulatory message to all citizens of Gusinje on the occasion of Municipality Day.
"It is a particular pleasure for me that from the position of Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North, I can emphasize that Gusinje recognizes and cherishes its special value, which is its exceptional natural beauty, rich cultural heritage and interpersonal harmony," he said.
According to him, Gusinje understands the importance of nature conservation and confirms that development can and should be aligned with the principles of sustainable development.
"It is precisely such an approach that represents the foundation for creating better living conditions for current and future generations," said Ćulafić.
He emphasized that the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Northern Development will continue to be a reliable partner to the Municipality of Gusinje in the implementation of projects that contribute to environmental protection, sustainable development and improving the quality of life of citizens.

Bečić: Better traffic connections will bring new investments to Gusinje
The Deputy Prime Minister for Security, Defense, Fight against Crime and Internal Policy, Aleksa Bečić, sent his congratulations to the leadership of the Municipality of Gusinje and all citizens.
He said that Gusinje is a place of rich history, exceptional nature and hardworking people, located at the foot of the magnificent Prokletije Mountains, where different cultures, traditions and religions have met for centuries.
"Ali Pasha's springs, the untouched beauty of the Prokletije National Park and the rich cultural heritage make this region one of the most beautiful and authentic areas of Montenegro. Gusinje is an example that a strong sense of belonging to one's region can be built together with mutual respect and appreciation of diversity. It is precisely these values that are the foundation of unity and the wealth of not only this municipality, but also of all of Montenegro," said Bečić.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that we have an obligation to turn the natural and development potential of this region into new jobs, stronger tourism, more competitive agriculture and better living conditions for young people. A special development opportunity is the start of construction of the second section of the Bar–Boljare highway, which will significantly improve the connection of the Plav-Gusinje region with the central region of Montenegro.
"When Podgorica is only about an hour's drive away, new opportunities will open up for investments, economic development and full valorization of the natural and tourist potential of this region. With the conviction that through the joint work of state and local institutions, but above all the hardworking people of Gusinje, this region will continue to progress and develop, I once again extend my sincere congratulations to all citizens on the occasion of the Municipality Day," he concluded.
Gutić: The connection between Gusinje and the diaspora is a strong driver of the municipality's development
On the occasion of the Day of the Municipality of Gusinje, the Minister of Social Welfare, Family Care and Demography, Damir Gutić, sent his congratulations.
"Gusinje is one of the most striking examples of how strong the bond between the motherland and the diaspora can be a driver of development. The knowledge, experience, investments and devotion to the homeland that our diaspora selflessly invests represent an invaluable contribution to the progress of this municipality and the better quality of life of its citizens," he said.
Gutić said that the Ministry of Social Welfare, Family Care and Demography remains committed to policies that contribute to strengthening the family, improving the quality of life of citizens and creating conditions for young people to build their future in Montenegro.
"The greatest success of any investment will be if it gives young people a reason to stay in Gusinje, start families here and build their future in the environment they come from. Minister of Public Administration Maraš Dukaj congratulated the Municipality of Gusinje on its Day.
"Municipality Day reminds us of the importance of unity, responsibility, and working together in building a successful local community. On this occasion, I extend my sincere congratulations and wish that Gusinje continues to achieve development results for the benefit of all its citizens," he said.
Dukaj said that Gusinje is an environment of rich history, natural beauty, and multiethnic harmony, and its particular strength is its numerous diaspora.
"The successes of emigrants and their lasting connection to their homeland make a strong contribution to the development of the municipality and the preservation of ties with Montenegro. SNP: The greatest value of this region has always been its people
The Socialist People's Party congratulated all citizens of Gusinje on Municipal Day.
"Gusinje has long been recognized as a place where nature did not skimp on beauty, but its greatest value has always been its people. For centuries, this area has taught people how to preserve their neighbor's word, unite diversity, and live with dignity from their work, despite all historical winds," the greeting states.
The SNP said that they are aware that love for their homeland beats strongest in the hearts of those who, due to circumstances, are far away today, but whose thoughts have never left Gusinje.
"Their unbreakable connection with their native land obliges all of us in Montenegro to offer Gusinje not just nice words, but concrete care and stable living conditions. With deep respect for your tradition and a sincere wish for the progress of every home in this region, I once again congratulate you on Municipality Day," the SNP's congratulatory message reads.
Camaj: Gusinje is recognizable for its multiethnic character, tradition of coexistence and hospitality
Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Nikola Camaj congratulated the leadership of the Municipality, as well as all citizens of Gusinje, on August 5th - the Day of the Municipality of Gusinje.
"On the occasion of the Gusinje Municipality Day, I extend my warmest congratulations to the leadership of the Municipality, as well as to all citizens, including numerous emigrants and members of the diaspora who are permanently and strongly attached to their homeland and who, through their engagement, make a significant contribution to its development," Camaj said in his congratulatory message.
