Ulcinj Waterworks appealed today to all citizens to use water exclusively for basic living needs and not to use it for watering gardens, lawns or for other tasks that require large amounts of water.
The statement emphasizes that due to the very unfavorable hydrological situation, accompanied by extremely high temperatures, significantly reduced capacity of all sources and irrational consumption, there are disturbances and seriously endanger the regular water supply of all users in the territory of the Municipality of Ulcinj.
"In order to ensure a regular and continuous water supply to all users, we appeal to all citizens to use water exclusively for basic life needs. That is, not to use it for watering plants, lawns, gardens, and other activities that require large amounts of water. "High consumption in one part of the system directly affects the amount of water available to all other users," the statement reads.
At the same time, the company warned citizens that the competent Water Supply teams would conduct increased control of the rational use of water, as well as control of the legality of the water supply network.
"We ask all citizens to use water responsibly in order to ensure regular and continuous water supply. Otherwise, we will be forced to take all possible measures in accordance with the Law on Communal Activities and the Decision on Public Water Supply, in order to protect the public interest in the territory of the Municipality of Ulcinj," the statement reads.
The Ulcinj Tourist Board announced today that there are 42,5 thousand tourists officially staying in the city. Counting the number of Ulcinj citizens and unregistered guests, it can be safely said that between 80 thousand and 100 thousand people are currently staying and using water in Ulcinj.
