The Association of the Blind is led by Čedo Lazić and Miljan Otašević, Goran Macanović is no longer an authorized person

The new president of the Association of the Blind of Montenegro is Čedo Lazić, and the new executive director is Miljan Otašević, the organization announced to "Vijesti".

As stated, the Electoral Assembly was held on July 28, and today the relevant Ministry for Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations delivered to Otašević the decisions on the registration of new authorized persons. The new authorized person is Miljan Otašević, replacing the previous executive director Goran Macanović.

"On July 28, 2026, regular elections were held in the Union of the Blind of Montenegro for the mandate period 2026-2030. At the first (constitutive) session of the Assembly of the Union of the Blind of Montenegro of the sixteenth convocation, the governing bodies were elected. By majority vote, it was decided that the position of President of the Union of the Blind of Montenegro for the next four years would be held by Čedo Lazić. In addition to Lazić, the candidate for that position was Goran Macanović, the previous Executive Director of the Union. After the election of the President, the Management and Supervisory Boards were constituted. The process was completed with the election of a new Executive Director. Two candidates were proposed for that position - Anđela Dragović, an employee of the professional service of the Union, and Miljan Otašević, who was elected by the will of the majority of the members of the Assembly to represent the interests of the Union of the Blind of Montenegro from the position of Executive Director for the next four years. Unlike some previous ones, this election process was held in a tense, but still tolerant atmosphere," the Union's statement stated.
