Nikšić Soup Kitchen: There is no need for any of the beneficiaries to worry about being left without our support

On the occasion of the start of the distribution of meals at the Željezara restaurant, as part of a project implemented in cooperation with the Electric Power Company and the Municipal Secretariat for Social Affairs, which will last until the end of the year, the Nikšić Soup Kitchen informed users about the way it will organize the distribution of meals.

They said in a statement that the list of beneficiaries of that project includes a certain number of users who have been with them from the very beginning.

"For beneficiaries who have applied for this project and are now receiving meals at the Željezara restaurant, we will continue to provide dinner every day between 18 and 19 p.m. This way, they will be provided with two meals a day. On the other hand, all our beneficiaries who have not applied for this project and who remain beneficiaries of our service will continue to receive meals according to our usual procedure. Also, in accordance with our capabilities and as before, we will continue to provide and deliver food packages to a certain number of families once a month, distribute clothing and footwear, as well as provide other forms of assistance that we have provided over the years in accordance with their needs. Therefore, there is no need for any of our beneficiaries to worry that they will be removed from our list or left without our support. On the contrary, we are pleased that some of our beneficiaries will now be able to use support on two grounds and thus be provided with two meals a day," the statement said, as reported by RTNK.

The soup kitchen praised the Secretariat for Social Affairs of the Municipality of Nikšić for initiating this important activity.

"We hope that it will not only be short-term in nature, but that it will grow into a program that will be continued in the coming period, because this would allow us to further adapt our activities to the real needs of our users. Our wish is that in the future there will be as few citizens as possible who need this type of assistance. However, there is a certain number of people who, regardless of their income and income, due to age, health or other life circumstances, are simply not able to prepare meals on their own. It is precisely because of them that it is important that such support programs exist, continue and develop. Our goal remains the same - to be with our users, to recognize their needs and, in accordance with the available possibilities, to provide them with as much support as possible," the statement says.

They emphasize that the main support of this project all these years has been and remains the "Montenegrin family from Berlin", thanks to whose continued support they can maintain this form of assistance to socially vulnerable citizens of Nikšić.

"We also thank all the individuals, associations, entrepreneurs and people of goodwill who have been and remain with us and our users all these years, including a large number of those who want their help to remain anonymous. Thank you to everyone who, together with us, ensures that no one is forgotten," said the Soup Kitchen.
