Every child in Montenegro must be provided with a quality education and an equal chance to succeed, said the President of the country, Jakov Milatović, stating that knowledge, talent and work must be recognized and rewarded.

Milatović, as announced by his office, today visited educational institutions in Ulcinj, where he spoke with students, teachers and school administrations about education, the ideas of young people, their plans and the opportunities they expect from the local community and the state.

It is stated that Milatović visited the "Boško Strugar" Elementary School with the school's principal, Spasa Aškrabić Đurović, where he learned about numerous student projects, the work of sections and workshops, competition results, and the ways in which students combine modern technologies, creativity, and traditional skills.

"The demonstration of the robot's work attracted particular attention, and the visit was also an opportunity to interact directly with the students, including a table tennis match between Milatović and one of the school's students," the statement said.

It is added that Milatović met with the principal Ferida Hajdinaga and first and sixth grade students at the "Maršal Tito" Elementary School, while he talked with ninth grade students about continuing their education, professional orientation, and their plans for the future.

"We discussed how young people see their future, what opportunities they expect from the local community and the state, but also the importance of their knowledge, energy and talents for the further development of Montenegro," said Milatović.

As reported, Milatović said that the most important thing a country can do for its future is to invest in its children.

"When we see knowledge, creativity, entrepreneurship and new technologies in schools, it is clear how much potential Montenegro has. Our obligation is to provide every child with a quality education and an equal chance to succeed," said Milatović.

He emphasized that the place where someone is born should not determine the opportunities they will have in life.

"From Ulcinj to the north of Montenegro, every child must have equal opportunities. We must build a society in which knowledge, talent and work will be recognized and rewarded, and in which young people will have a reason to build their future precisely in Montenegro," said Milatović.

As stated in the statement, Milatović met with the principal Snežana Živanović at the "Bratstvo Jedinstvo" Mixed High School, after which a "Class with the President" was held.

"Third and fourth grade students had the opportunity to talk with the head of state about education, society, Montenegro's European path, their expectations and the opportunities offered to them by the state," the statement said.

Milatović assessed that investing in education must be one of the most important priorities of state and local policy, because it is in schools that the knowledge, values, and skills on which the future development of Montenegro will rest are created.

"Ulcinj has talented and ambitious young people who have something to show and who deserve the opportunity to turn their ideas into success. It is not enough to tell young people to stay in Montenegro. We must give them a reason to stay, quality education, equal opportunities and a society in which their efforts and knowledge will be valued," said Milatović.
