"Blue Seagull" is the new record holder of the Tivat cruiser regatta

The crew of the sailboat "Sinji galeb" with skipper Ilija Belan from Tivat, is the winner of the 11th Tivat regatta for cruisers and the Open Championship of Montenegro for microtonners, which was sailed in Boka Kotorska.

Ideal weather for sailing, a great fight, great socializing and excellent organization marked this sports-nautical event that gathered a large number of participants on Saturday.

The regatta was organized by JK "Delfin" from Tivat, and the sponsors were the Municipality of Tivat and the company Brand New Tivat, Lovćen Osiguranje and Porto Montenegro.

It is about a navigational regatta that sailed on the Ponte Seljanovo route, a tour around the Tunja lighthouse, the island of Our Lady of Mercy and the island of Sveti Marko, through the passage of Ralo, through the strait of Veriga, a tour of the Perač islands and back to the finish line, Ponte Seljanovo.

The winning breed "Blue Seagull" achieved the best result in the history of the Tivat regatta because the crew of skipper Belana sailed the regatta field in 1 hour 58 minutes and 30 seconds. This record marked the World Day of the Fight for the Preservation of the Planet, along with the slogan of the regatta "Let's save the sea".

Second place and the silver medal were won by skipper Rian Pilepič and his crew on a BLU26 sailboat.

The third place and bronze medal went to the organizer of the Tivat regatta, the crew of JK "Delfin", with skipper Robert Farkaš. By the way, this was also the youngest crew whose members are state champion in the laser 4.7 class Ilija Marković, state champion in the Optimist class Nikola Golubović and Tatjana Kusovac, who started the season in the laser 4.7 class.

In class 1, the trophies were won by skippers on sailboats of the BLU 26 type. The first is skipper Rian Pilepič and the crew of Porto Montenegro, the second is skipper Robert Farkaš and the third is skipper Filip Petričević and the crew of JK Lahor from Kotor.

In class 2, the fastest was skipper Jovica Rašović, sailboat "Medusina", silver went to skipper Miodrag Milić, sailboat "Vega", and bronze went to skipper Goran Nikolić, sailboat "Tromb".

"Blue Seagull" under the skilful hand of skipper Ilija Belan is the winner in class 3. Silver went to skipper Goran Nikolić, sailboat "Vesna", and bronze was won by Nikša Truš, sailboat "Čita".

Russian skipper Oleg Smirnov is the winner in class 4, second is Kotor's Miro Milovanović, the sailboat "10 Years After" and third is also skipper Branimir Stjepčević from Kotor with a crew from Podgorica led by tactician Predrag Lešić.

In class 5, the longest boats competed, and the cup was taken by skipper Krsto Todorović, sailboat "Jelena" from Bar, while silver went to skipper Oleg Smirnov.
