Today, the handover of the duties of the commander of the Air Force of the Army of Montenegro took place at the Military Airport in Golubovci, the Ministry of Defense announced.
In the presence of the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Ljubiša Jokić, Major Dražen Vlahović received the post of commander from Colonel Živko Pejović.
General Jokić thanked Colonel Pejović for the professional performance of his duties as Air Force Commander in the previous period and also obliged Major Vlahović to perform his new duties in accordance with the Constitution and the law.
Major Vlahović thanked the Chief of the General Staff for the trust shown and pointed out that, together with his associates in the chain of command, he will work dedicatedly to improve the capacities and capabilities of the Air Force.
Major Vlahović performed numerous command duties in aviation units, including the duty of helicopter squadron commander, and holds the highest flying titles.
The former commander of the Air Force, Colonel Živko Pejović, will be assigned to the duty of inspector in the Department for Inspection Supervision of the Ministry of Defense.
The handover of duties of the commander of the Air Force of the Army of Montenegro was also attended by representatives of civil institutions located at Podgorica Airport in Golubovci, as well as the president of the Golubovci City Municipality, Dušan Radonjić.
