Mehmed Kolarević is building a hotel in Gospoština

Podgorica company "14. septembar", of the businessman Mehmed Meša Kolarević, received the green light for the construction of a hotel in Budva's Gospoština neighborhood, not far from the "Avala" hotel.

The Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism (MORT) has issued urban-technical conditions (UTU) which allow the construction of a "primary catering facility with a total of 845 square meters of gross construction area".

Referring to the current Detailed Urban Plan (DUP) "Budva Center", the future hotel can have a ground floor and five floors, but since the number of floors is recommended, it can be larger or smaller.

As the valid planning document states that the plot of land on which there are two family houses is intended for residential or business construction, the MORT explained that UTU can be issued for the construction of the facility "for the provision of accommodation services and services for the preparation and serving of food and beverages".

By the decision of Mayor Dragan Krapović, the Municipality of Budva invalidated the DUPs "Budva centar" and "Petrovac centar", which prohibited the construction of apartments and apartments for the market.

The construction of four- and five-star hotels and family houses up to 500 square meters is permitted.

Kolarević is the former son-in-law of DPS leader Milo Đukanović, and his company has built several residential and commercial buildings in Budva and Petrovac in the past decade.
